Anti-Corrosion Performance of Polyaniline Coated Basalt Rockwool Wastes/Epoxy Resin Coatings

نویسندگان

چکیده

Basalt rockwool wastes with large output, which are toxic and require expensive environmental treatment, produced during the production of rock wool. Hence, it is urgent to find an effective method reuse these materials. In this study, polyaniline (PANI)-coated basalt (BRWs) were prepared as fillers serve in coatings for anticorrosion study. Results show that PANI-coated BRW (PANI@BRW) had enhanced dispersion stability several conventional solvents improved performance epoxy resin coating. A high protection efficiency 97.7% could be obtained from coating 5% after immersion 30 days. This study not only provides a promising solving issues caused by BRW, but also turns into valuable substances.

Corrosion Performance of Epoxy-coated Rebar in Florida Keys Bridges

Severe corrosion of epoxy coated rebar in the substructure of 5 major marine bridges in the Florida Keys was detected after only a few years of construction. Corrosion occurred underneath the coating and was preceded by loss of adherence between the steel and the coating. Damage surveys of the bridges, which were built around 1980, were conducted from 1986 to 2000. Corrosion resulted in delamin...
